  2. Everyone predicting a collapse is crazy. This will be a loooong, slow slide. Look at the rest of the world: cooking oil and wheat/rice subsidies are hilariously cheap. Proles are a really cheap date, and once you have easily manipulable subsidies, enforcing conformity gets much easier.
